Open Pen Magazine and the London Writers’ Cafe have forged an unholy literary alliance (its probably not that impious). Issue Seven will see a special section devoted to London Writer’s Cafe members.
To mark this special occasion, the two lit-lovin’ establishments will come together for one night only to present OUTWORD, showcasing highlights from Issue Seven (due out in mid-November). Tickets are £10 for adults and £8 for students.
Writers published in Open Pen’s latest issue will be invited to perform pieces to an audience of LWC members, writers, readers, literary fans and the general public. The audience will be treated to stories, novel excerpts, poetry, plays, as well as the live lit-com stylings of Piers Pereira, with Londonist Out Loud‘s N. Quentin Woolf compering the evening. Writer and broadcaster N. Quentin Woolf can be found in the pages of Open Pen in Issue Six, with his new column on Writing.
A full line up and event details will be shared very shortly. But we’re very much looking forward to bringing writers, publishers and lit-fans together for a night of wordy pertinence and as much end-of-mid-week drinking you can handle (we have a full open bar).
Come along and bring friends, it’s bound to be a good ‘un!
